And remember that you must give equal attention to each subject i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. “Convert your weak areas into your strength by devoting more time to topics and concepts you find difficult to understand” – says HET Shah who secured AIR 1 in NEET 2016.

Preciseness Is Inevitable

In NEET exam, you must only trust on your knowledge and not your gut feeling. This because, in hope of achieving 4 marks (marks assigned for each correct answer), you might lose 1 marks (1 marks deduction for every wrong answer). In an exam like NEET, 1 mark can make a whole lot of difference. So, make sure to answer every question after understanding them thoroughly. According to Arushi who secured AIR 5 and AIR 2 in NEET and AIIMS MBBS 2016 exam respectively One must analyze his her mistakes and put extra efforts to understand the reason behind them. Physics NEET Exam Syllabus and Preparation Guide

When preparing for NEET Exams, most of the aspirants find Physics a bit difficult subject to prepare for. And, this is one of the reasons that a candidate even after being good in other subjects (Chemistry, Botany, Zoology) is unable to crack NEET exam. To help such students, we are providing some important Preparation tips along with complete Physics syllabus for NEET Exam. Following this guide will surely help in boosting your confidence in Physics preparation.

Tips for the Preparation of Physics NEET Exam :

1.) Understand Concepts

No matter which exam or which subject you are preparing for, understanding the concepts is a must. While understanding the concept helps keep it remembered for a long time, mugging up topics becomes useless when a tricky question comes related to the topic in the exam.

2.) Learn Formulas

Remember! Formulas are the core of Physics and it is strongly recommended to understand them thoroughly. And the only way to do that is by practicing them again and again till you remember them like the back of your hand.

3.)  Time Management

NEET exam consists of 180 questions where 45 marks are for the Physics. Considering the time constraint, timing plays a crucial role. You need to boost up your speed significantly. Practice more and more sample papers, previous question papers as it will help in not only enhancing your speed but also in revision.

4.) Work on Weak Sections

You might be having a strong command over one topic and weak over the others. Instead of getting discouraged by the same and avoiding such topic, try to work harder on such topics by giving them extra time and taking help from a friend or a senior. You can also ask for extra classes if you have joined any coaching classes. This will not only help in clearing the topic but also boost your confidence.

5.) Take Mock Tests

As said above, one of the main hurdles in NEET exam is the time constraint, it is necessary to be as much prompt as you can. As there are 180 minutes for 180 questions, meaning one minute for one question, it is indispensable to boost up your speed. To achieve the desired speed, the only way is to practice as much mock test papers as you can. After solving several mock tests paper, try to solve the next sample papers in less than 170 minutes. Doing so will surely give you an edge over the participants.

6.) Take Breaks

When preparing for NEET exam, do not treat yourself as a machine by studying continuously and compromising on your sleep. You are human. Your body needs proper rest to perform up to its capabilities. Depriving yourself of the rest is going to do more harm than good. Lack of rest lowers your concentration level and memory. So, always avoid compromising on your sleep and take a good amount of sleep and include short breaks in between your study time to keep your concentration level high and mind refreshed. Use your breaks as 10 minutes walk, chat with friends, or taking a power nap.

7.) Avoid Guesswork

Many NEET exam candidates tend to make mistake by guessing the answer to a question. However, in the hope of getting 4 marks for that question, they end up losing 1 mark for the wrong answer. As NEET exam follows negative marking for every wrong answer, it is best to answer only those questions which you are confident about. This is important because even a 1 mark can make you lose your chances of clearing NEET exam.

8.) Health is Everything

Having a good physical health is as much important as your mental health. And this is not restricted to just the exam preparation; you should always take care of yourself both mentally and physically. And, it becomes even more important during exam preparation. To keep your mind refreshed and active for preparation, it is important to avoid junk foods. Eating such foods makes your lethargic and which in turn affects your concentration level. So, it is recommended to completely cut junk food from your diet and follow a healthy and balanced diet. It will not only keep you active but also help you stay healthy.

9.) Make use of Technologies

Nowadays, there are many online tools available that can help in making your NEET Exam Preparation a bit of fun and interesting. Some of the tools include blogs, social media, videos, mobile applications, online tutors and tutorials etc. While highlighting sentences in textbooks and making notes on paper are still the preferred options, you can leverage the online tools to help you more.

10.) Being Positive is Imperative

Your approach plays a crucial role in the preparation process. Doubting on your capabilities or learning with a negative approach is going to ruin your plan severely. Try to ease out your mind and keep a positive approach. This will not only help in boosting your confidence but also make your mind show greater ability and be available for new ideas.

Following these tips with a good planning is surely going to help candidates achieve their Goal. However, in addition to the above, you should also be aware of the syllabus for the Physics NEET exam thoroughly, so that you can plan and prepare accordingly. Below, you can find the details syllabus for Physics along with some good reference books to consult for the preparation.
