What is the Nationality Requirement for NEET 2018 Exam?

Candidates with the following nationality can appear for NEET 2018 Exam:

  • Indian
  • Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)
  • Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)
  • NRI and Foreign Candidates

What is the Age Requirement for NEET 2018 Exam?

A candidate must not be younger than 17 years and older than 25 years as or on 31st December of the year of the admission. For the candidates who belong to reserved categories have an age relaxation for 5 years which means maximum age limit for such candidates 30 years.

How Many Times Can I Appear for NEET Exam?

The NEET authorities introduced restriction to the number of times a candidate can appear for NEET Exam. According to the official announcement, a candidate can only apply for NEET Exam three times only.

What is The Educational Qualification Requirement for NEET 2018 Exam?

A candidate must clear his/her 10+2 or HSC with at least 50% (40% for OBC/SC/ST candidates). He/she must have cleared Physics, Chemistry and Biology subject with at least 50% in aggregate. In case of PH/PWD category – a candidate needs to score 45% marks if he/she belongs to Gen-PH and 40% if he/she belongs to SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH.

What Fees Do I Need to Pay for NEET 2018 Exam?

A candidate needs to pay Rs.1400 as a general candidate and Rs.750, if the candidate belongs to SC, ST, and PH category.

What Are the Documents Required for NEET 2018 Exam?

  • Scanned copy of your recent photograph. It should be in JPG format and file size must be between 10KB to 100KB. Make sure that the photograph is taken with a white background and the candidate’s name and date of photo taken must be mentioned at the bottom of the Photograph.
  • Scanned copy of your signature. It should be in JPG format and file size must be between 3KB to 20KB.






Requirement for Aadhaar for the NEET Applicants 2018

Candidates, who are Indian Citizens and ordinary residents of India, shall register in NEET 2018 using Aadhaar. As the application forms for NEET 2018 are yet to be released, candidates can apply for the Aadhaar card to the nearest centre.

Additional Tips to Keep in Mind While Filling NEET 2018 Exam Application Form

  • Using prefixes in the name of Mother or Father is not allowed.
  • Name, date of birth, gender must be as per Aadhaar card or correction request.

      PH candidates are required to carry their treatment papers related to their disability, including the investigation reports, at the time of reporting to the above mentioned designated institute authorized to issue disability certificate.

      You don’t require submitting your mark sheet at the time of NEET application form filling process. Mark sheet and other documents are required to be produced at the time of counselling/admission.
      As per the official NEET notification, “Candidates from creamy layer and those who do not come under CentralList of OBC are advised to mention their category as Unreserved (UR).” So check the central government’s list to see if you fall under OBC category.

    1. Creamy layer for OBC candidates are those which do not come under the Central List of OBC. So, you must check the same. As per NEET official notification, such candidates are advised to mention their category as Unreserved (UR) for NEET application.

    1. You can submit a caste certificate as given in the NEET 2018 notification. There is no need to submit a separate certificate for reserved categories, while applying with NEET 2018 Exam. Students, who belong to a special reserved category, should fill up the caste certificate PROFORMA as mentioned in the official notification of NEET 2018.

    1. Considering that your father’s name is incorrect in the Aadhaar card; in that case, you should get the correction done with it. You should fill your father’s name as per your respective school records.

    1.I BELONG TO 3B CATEGORY IN MY STATE I’e OBC In my state (Karnataka).is I am belong Obc In Central or Unreserved. My caste is not mentioned in central Obc List.

    when i was attemptng to fill online application NEAT 2018, asking income details and in that page asking both father and mothers income details.since mother is houswife no income no salary.so problem arisng when skipping mothers income.if i divide equal amount to both annual income for father and mother i can able to go to next step.but the real problem will araise when submitting income certificate during admission..please tell me the solution..is there any problem for dividing the annual income to father and mothers column??

    1. Yes, your form will be considered if you apply under SC category. You only have to provide the category certificate at the time of counselling. The Proforma for category certificate is provided in the official information bulletin.

    1. No, you do not have to apply as a fresher candidate. Click on ‘Candidate Login’ under the ‘Online Services’ tab at the official website and apply for the exam. You don’t require any document, just update your photograph. As per the information bulletin, the photograph must be taken on or before 01 January 2018.

    1. As per a recent notice released by CBSE (NEET conducting authority) in this regard, candidates can apply for the exam as per their details in the Aadhaar card and then take necessary actions to correct the mismatching details.

    1. Yes, you will be eligible for 85% quota from Chhattisgarh in state counselling as your aadhaar card is of that state only.
